González prepares to retire after an illustrious career spanning over 35 years. The company’s Board of Directors has appointed Jaime Muguiro as his successor, with the transition set to take effect on April 1, 2025.
Rogelio Zambrano, Chairman of Cemex’s Board of Directors, expressed deep gratitude for González’s decade-long tenure as CEO, acknowledging his role in shaping the company’s trajectory. Jaime Muguiro, a seasoned Cemex executive, has been an integral part of the company since 1996. Over the years, he has held key leadership roles across multiple business segments, including Strategic Planning, Business Development, Ready-Mix Concrete, Aggregates, and Human Resources. His extensive experience in managing regional operations—spanning the Mediterranean, South and Central America, and the Caribbean—has positioned him as a dynamic leader within the organization.
Most recently, Muguiro served as President of Cemex in the United States, where he played a vital role in driving operational success. Prior to that, he was CEO of Cemex Latam Holdings, a publicly listed company. His diverse experience and strategic acumen make him well-equipped to lead Cemex into its next phase of growth and innovation.
