With an extensive career spanning over three decades in both local and international insurance and banking sectors, Gomes is poised to make a significant impact in his new role.

A Wealth of Experience

Before joining Ageas Federal Life Insurance, Gomes held the position of CEO at Manulife China Bank in the Philippines and most recently served as CEO of Union Assurance PLC in Sri Lanka. His career path includes key roles such as Chief Partnership Distribution Officer at Manulife in Vietnam and various leadership positions at HSBC’s headquarters in Hong Kong. Notably, he was instrumental in launching India’s first private life insurer, HDFC Standard Life Insurance, and was a founding member of HSBC Canara Oriental Bank of Commerce Life Insurance in India. Most recently, Gomes was the Regional Director of Business Development at Ageas, based in Hong Kong.
