From Silicon Valley Roots to National Impact

Shireen’s passion for engineering ignited early. After earning a Master’s in Electrical Engineering from California State University-Fresno—specializing in power electronics and RF subsystems—she entered the tech epicenter of Silicon Valley. At Trimble Navigation, a global leader in GPS and precision technology, she worked on high-impact projects like the GPS-CAT MS992+ for Caterpillar dozers and 900 MHz radio solutions for rugged terrain. These technologies, pivotal in heavy highway infrastructure, offered centimeter-level accuracy and resilience in the harshest construction environments—hallmarks of Bojja’s design philosophy.

Her early career work on infrastructure led to deep involvement with U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) projects and a transition into ITS systems, where public safety and energy efficiency intersect.
