With rare expertise in public-safety power electronics and a passion for innovation, Shireen Bojja leads Voltek Ace to revolutionize transportation infrastructure—bridging the gap between engineering precision and strategic business leadership.
In an industry where fewer than 1% of professionals possess her level of technical mastery, Shireen Bojja stands as a singular force driving transformation in power electronics and public safety systems. As an award-winning entrepreneur, engineering manager, and founder of Voltek Ace, LLC, Bojja is engineering more than products—she’s engineering the future of smart infrastructure in America.
With a deep specialization in power electronics, systems engineering, and product safety, Bojja has built a reputation for leading-edge innovation in technologies that underpin traffic safety, intelligent transportation systems (ITS), and infrastructure resilience. Her journey, however, began far from the boardrooms and highways she now helps shape.
Shireen’s passion for engineering ignited early. After earning a Master’s in Electrical Engineering from California State University-Fresno—specializing in power electronics and RF subsystems—she entered the tech epicenter of Silicon Valley. At Trimble Navigation, a global leader in GPS and precision technology, she worked on high-impact projects like the GPS-CAT MS992+ for Caterpillar dozers and 900 MHz radio solutions for rugged terrain. These technologies, pivotal in heavy highway infrastructure, offered centimeter-level accuracy and resilience in the harshest construction environments—hallmarks of Bojja’s design philosophy.
Her early career work on infrastructure led to deep involvement with U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) projects and a transition into ITS systems, where public safety and energy efficiency intersect. Through this work, her expertise in designing high-reliability electronics became essential to DOT agencies across the U.S., including Florida DOT, Caltrans, and Georgia DOT.
In 2022, Bojja founded Voltek Ace, LLC, turning her long-held vision into reality: to integrate advanced engineering with strategic business acumen. Her company supports U.S.-based industries by delivering sustainable, technically advanced, and certified safe power solutions, especially within the transportation sector.
Voltek Ace quickly became a hub for cutting-edge technologies, notably through two major innovations:
Both have already been commercially deployed across state and federal DOTs, underlining Bojja’s tangible impact on U.S. infrastructure modernization efforts.
Voltek Ace’s success has not gone unnoticed. Bojja recently received the prestigious 2025 Stevie® American Business Award, and the company has been honored under the Made in California program for innovation and commitment to local manufacturing.
Her growing portfolio of intellectual property and her influence in shaping national safety standards further distinguish her as a pioneer in an underserved sector—at a time when the power electronics field faces a dwindling talent pool.
